Nigerian women beaten by some Muslims who blocked a road for prayers in Bayelsa State.

A heartbroken Nigerian lady, Angaye Dorothy Doubara, took to the platform to recount how her mom was beaten by some Muslims who blocked a road for prayers in Bayelsa State.According to the Nigerian lady, her parents were on their way to Greater Evangelism World Crusade State HQ Opolo Yenagoa, before getting assaulted by the Muslims who were angry that they horned during their prayers.

Here’s what she wrote;
On 2/3/18 at 2pm my parents were on there way to Greater Evangelism World Crusade State HQ Opolo Yenagoa on a Ministry assignment.when they drove into opolo rd it was totally blocked,Muslims were praying with an overflow to the main road.They horned severally hoping they could pass through all
to no avail so they waited paitently for 15mins.after the prayers instead of making way for cars to pass,these Muslims attacked my mum’s car,hitting the car and beat her up seriously a 56 years old woman,even broke her spectacles in the process.

We thank God she is safe and sound.I wonder if it is now lawful for people to block a major road? I wonder whether we are still safe in our own dear state Bayelsa? Few weeks ago it was the same Muslims attacking my farm destroying crops worth Millions of
Naira,Yet nobody is saying anything about it,Few days ago it was my mum,luckily she survived.Who knows who it will be tommorrow Bayelsans wake up it is now obvious that this is a Religious battle?

This is however, not the first times Muslims in Nigeria will be blocking major roads for prayers in a Nigerian state. In 2017, an Instagram user Adenike, expressed her disapproval after some Muslims blocked a road in Victoria Island in Lagos, to observe Friday prayers; causing serious traffic jam in the area. She wrote;

“Come on guys. Come on!!! This is a Local Council Development Area, Iru-Victoria Island, that has a mosque. Come on guys… Really. How do you BLOCK
the road to PRAY? How. I had to park, because there was just ONE alternate route, that was locked down.
And yes, when MY church starts to PRAY on the road, I will do same. For now, it’s TRAFFIC caused by cars leaving or going into church. (Different from this). NOT impressed one bit… They want to regulate CSOs, we no gree, how dem no go regulate am; if churches
and mosques be PRAYING on the roads?
