Man beats and injures sick brother’s wife over property in Lagos


A man identified as Kamoru Labinjo has been dragged to court for beating his sick brother’s wife Mrs. Olufunke Labinjo, in Balogun Market, after he queried her right to collect rents on her husband’s properties.

 The Nation reports that Kamorureportedly rained blows on his brother’s wife after 60-year-old Olufunkerefused taking him to her husband’s properties and granting him access to inventory of the buildings owned by his sick brother.
Olufunke who sustained an injury from the assault, was admitted at Shomolu General Hospital, Lagos while the matter was reported to Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, who subsequently arrested and arraignedKamoru before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court on November 3, 2017.
Kamoru however pleaded not guilty, after his prosecutor read out his charge in suit number MIK/A/250/17 Commissioner of Police versus Kamoru Labinjo, over the offence committed on September 22, 2017.
