TEENAGE boy quizzed by police on suspicion of killing a fellow pupil’s father

A BOY of 14 was being quizzed last night on suspicion of shooting dead a fellow pupil’s father during a row about bullying.

Lee Holt, 32, was blasted to death during a “clear the air” meeting at a house in Oswaldtwistle, near Accrington, Lancs.
Detectives believe the road worker had visited another family to discuss bullying among their respective children.
Minutes later neighbours heard a woman screaming “Blood, blood” after Mr Holt was shot and bleeding heavily from the chest.
Residents claim the owner of the home, a 49-year-old married father of three and tree surgeon, where Mr Holt was shot kept guns at the property.JOEL GOODMAN/LNP
Now both he and his 14-year-old son – neither of whom can be named for legal reasons – have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Paramedics and police rushed to the scene at 8.25pm on Wednesday and Mr Holt was pronounced dead on arrival at the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Shocked neighbours claimed there had been long-standing disputes between pupils at the same school but recently they had escalated.
Yesterday as forensics officers worked at the scene, a number of dogs were removed from the property by police, including three dobermans.
Mr Holt had moved to be near his parents Marilyn and Kevin in Accrington at the beginning of the year.
Mr Holt’s neighbour Joseph O’Neill, 49, said: “Lee was so kind-hearted and everybody loved him. “
He wouldn't hurt a fly.
