Kate and William's shock as much-loved housekeeper quits £35k job

Kate, Prince William ad Sadie Rice
A HOUSEKEEPER who earned £35,000 a year to cook, clean and look after Prince William and Kate’s kids has quit her job as it became “too demanding.”

Sadie Rice, 35, took on the job at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s country home, Amner Hall in Norfolk over the past two years.
But things went sour when she refused to spend more time in their home at Kensington Palace in London, according to a report.
She spectacularly left the job as she did not feel up to it, leaving the young Royals desperately searching for a reliable replacement, The Sun reports.

Both William and Kate have made the move to live permanently in the London palace (which they share with Prince Harry) and even enrolled their youngest son Prince George, 3, into Thomas’s private school in Battersea, South London.
A source said: “Sadie is a hard worker but the job's demands got too much, even for her.
“They wanted her to spend more time at Kensington Palace and her work was increasing all the time.
“She wasn't having a normal life outside work. Sadie's serving her notice and it seems nothing will change her mind. It's their loss.”

Ms Rice, has made a career serving royalty and previously worked for the Prince of Norway
But both Kensington Palace and Sandringham Estate refused to confirm whether Ms Rice, had, in fact stood down form her post.
Ms Rice, has made a career serving royalty and previously worked for the Prince of Norway.
Her departure comes as the Duke and Duchess look to expand their staff as their lives change and they take on more royal duties.

Prince William, Kate, George, CharlotteGettyPrince Phillip, 96, announced his retirement this autumn and the Queen, 91, reduces her workload.
His retirement has already led two of Prince Phillip’s young staff - Corporal Stewart Harvey and Lance-Sergeant Stuart Hayes - to go and work at Kensington Palace.
