News anchor calmly reads out breaking news about her husband's death

 It was just a routine day for Chhattisgarh'sprivate regional TV channel's news reader Supreet Kaur  when she walked into the studio on Saturday morning. But a breaking news came in midway, she kept her composure, did her job of reading about the death of her husband and two others in a road accident.


TV channel IBC 24's senior editorial staff confirmed that she came to know about the accident involving an SUV at Pithora in 
Mahasamund district on Saturday morning. When the news anchor was connected with channel's reporter for live phone-in, she realized that her husband, Harsad Kawade  was among the passengers of the ill-fated vehicle.


The reporter said during live phone-in that three of the five people travelling in the vehicle were dead. While reporter did not identify those killed in accident, she realized from the description given by the reporter that tragedy had struck her life. After the news bulletin, Kaur
 walked out of the TV studio, called up the 
reporter and came to know about the death of 
her husband. Kaur's colleagues said, "It could have been a difficult situation for anyone. But, she controlled her anxiety, remained composed and showed exemplary commitment to her job. We are proud of her."


Kaur, who hails from the steel city of Bhilai, has been working as news anchor with IBC 24 for the last nine years. She married Harsad Kawade almost a year ago.
