That Moment When king Cobra came begging for water

                                          A thirsty cobra snake drinking water.

In desperate need of water, a deadly but dehydrated king Cobra  entered a human habitat and accepted water from a bottle offered by a forest official in a drought hit village in Kamtaka, India.


As snake expert Raghavendra offers water to the reptile in a footage that has now gone viral, the snake extends its neck and sips the liquid.

The unusual encounter, which was recently recorded in Kaiga village of Uttara Kannada district, is a grim reminder of the water scarcity in the area, said activists. The snake was later taken to an animal care facility. Karnataka is in the throes of a drought for the third consecutive year.
