Boy, 15 shoots 16 year old girl ,her mother , before turning gun on himself

A 15-year-old boy fatally shot a teen girl in her bedroom in Maryland and wounded her

mother Sunday before turning the gun on himself, police said.

The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. in an Ellicott City home on Sunday, Howard County Police said.

The New York Daily reports police said the mother, Suzanne Zaremba, 52, was shot after she entered her daughter’s room when she heard a "scuffle."The teen suspect then shot Charlotte Zaremba, 16, and then himself in the head, police said.

Charlotte was taken to Howard County General Hospital where she died. Her mother was also hospitalized but was later released, cops said.

A motive for the shooting and if the suspect had a possible connection to the victims remains unclear.

The teen suspect remains in critical condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said
