The 10-year-old boy was thrust into the political spotlight when he stood next to his father during his victory speech on election night.
Donald Trump's young son looked tired and struggled to stay awake after staying up until 3am as the election results came in.
Many Americans noticed that Barron bears a striking resemblance to his 70-year-old father despite the six-decade age difference.
His mother Melania Trump - the next First Lady of America - sometimes calls him ‘Little Donald’ because they have similar character traits.
“He is a mixture of us in looks, but his personality is why I call him little Donald,” the Slovenian former model once told Parenting Magazine.
“He is a very strong-minded, very special, smart boy. He is independent and opinionated and knows exactly what he wants.”
She added: “Sometimes we play together and build cities or airports using Magna Tiles and Legos. He builds big projects.”
The young boy has been shielded from media attention, unlike Mr Trump’s grown-up children who took part in his election campaign.
Mr Trump’s eldest children - Donald Trump Junior, Ivanka, and Eric Trump - spoke on the campaign trail and work for the Trump Organization.
The three children come from his first marriage to Ivana Trump. The billionaire also has a 23-year-daughter, Tiffany, with his other ex-wife Marla Marples.
Barron has grown up living in Trump Tower - where he has a whole floor to himself - and goes to Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York.
The bilingual child speaks Slovenian with his mother and grandparents who also live in New York.
