ISLAMIC State fighters have been gunned down by Israeli warplanes after their weak strikes failed to affect Israeli's soldiers.
Israel soldiers launched several air strikes on the depraved jihadis from the Shuhada al-Yarmouk group, closely affiliated to ISIS, after they evaded the jihadi’s explosive machine gun fire.
Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner, from the Israel Defence Force, confirmed the soldiers were from the Golani Brigade and were ambushed by machine gun and mortar fire.
Nitzan Nuriel, a retired Israeli general, said: “A direct attack like that on Israeli activities on the Israeli side of the border - this is the first time.”
Making a stern threat he added: “They know exactly what the Israeli response would be.
“An Israeli front is the last thing ISIS needs at this stage.”
The attack led by ISIS affiliated fighters were the first Israel had experienced since the start of the Syrian civil war in 2011.
