Police in Scotland detained a chicken who was seen trying to walk across a local road.
Tayside Police Division shared a photo of
the fowl suspect, which drew the attention of motorists on Friday morning.
"Officers were in East Marketgait, Dundee at 8.30 this morning after reports of a chicken trying to cross the road and giving passing motorists cause for concern," police said.
Police eventually managed to safely capture the jaywalking chicken and kept the bird at the station before handing it over to the local RSPCA.
After the chicken was settled, police began to search for information about its owner and exactly why it decided to cross the road.
