A family in Spain raising a trio of baby skunks
rejected by their mother said their dog, Freddie, appointed herself "step mum" of the kits.
A video posted to YouTube by user Skunks & Co. shows Freddie gently interacting with the three skunk kits, which are being hand-raised by the family after being rejected by their mother.
"Hand rearing them from that age was not easy but our little dog Freddie wouldn't leave the skunks and has taken over as step mum," the video's description reads.
"We feed them and she does the rest, cleaning and protecting!" the family wrote.
