Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have consulted with a transgender expert for their daughter Shiloh. At only nine years old, Shiloh identifies herself as a boy and her parents are reportedly very open to this difficult conversation.
Moviepilot.com took a quick look at how Shiloh has shown signs over the years of possibly being a transgender child.
In a 2010 interview with Vanity Fair, Angelina Jolie discussed her daughter's gender identification, saying, "She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers."
Moviepilot.com also looked at the comments Brad Pitt made to Oprah in 2008: "She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it's a Peter Pan thing. So we've got to call her John. 'Shi, do you want...' — 'John. I'm John.' And then I'll say, 'John, would you like some orange juice?' And she goes, 'No!'"
Even years after this awareness, Shiloh still seems to identify more as "John." As Moviepilot.com notes, "In December 2014, she even wore a suit and tie to match her brothers at the red carpet premiere of her mother's filmUnbroken."

Luckily, Shiloh has awesome parent who aren't afraid to have the transgender talk with her. According to Radar Online, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were willing to speak to an expert in order to help Shiloh, who they have been
protecting "from being bullied by her peers and outsiders."
Despite this, a source reveals that "they have also been gently setting the tone for how their five other children interact with Shiloh."
The source also suggested that "Brad and Angelina were recommended to continue allowing Shiloh to dress however she wanted." The expert even dismissed the possibility that Shiloh's potential gender swap was influenced by her brothers. The A-list parents were told it's just the way Shiloh is, and there's nothing that they did wrong as parents."
Even though Angelina and Brad have yet to confirm whether or not this conversation with a transgender expert actually took place, they deserve major props for being open enough to let Shiloh express herself the way she feels is right.
