SUICIDE SQUAD has made over $500 million at the worldwide box office and is set to beat Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

Just 13 days after its cinematic release, the DC movie has made $509 million (£387 million).
Suicide Squad’s poor reviews, with just 26% positive on Rotten Tomatoes, haven’t stopped audiences going to see the Batman v Superman follow up.
In the US it’s expected to be the fifth film of 2016 to hold out at the box office top spot for three weeks in row, following Zootopia, The Jungle Book, Finding Dory and Deadpool.
The $500 million made took almost the same time for Marvel’s Deadpool, which received much better reviews.
In comparison Deadpool’s budget was just $58 million (£44 million) compared to Suicide Squad’s $175 million ($133 million).
Deadpool finished its box office run with over $780 million (£590 million) worldwide.
Suicide Squad beat Marvel’s Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy with its record-breaking $135 million (£102 million) opening.

Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, WB President of Worldwide Distribution, commented on Suicide Squad’s surprise success.
She said: “It is incredibly rewarding to see audiences around the world coming out in such a big way for Suicide Squad.
“We have several major markets yet to open, and expect to continue seeing strong returns at the box office for the weeks to come.”
Suicide Squad will need to make between $750-800 million (£571-£609 million) globally just to break even.
This may be a challenge for the DC movie since it’s been banned in China, after failing to get past state censors.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ended its box office run with $872 million (£664 million), a far cry from the expected $1 billion (£762 million) mark it was expected to break - but can Suicide Squad restore faith in DC’s movie universe?
