Meghan Markle ‘asks Kate Middleton to be maid of honour’ as Prince Harry engagement nears

Maid of honour loading. The question is will she accept?

MEGHAN Markle has reportedly asked Kate Middleton to be her maid of honour as she and Prince Harry prepare to announce their engagement ahead of a royal wedding.

Plans are already said to be underway to bring the Suits actress into the royal family.
Ms Markle is reported to have met the Queen at a royal barbecue, where it is believed Harry asked her permission to marry the actress.
The Suit’s actress reportedly delivered a gift to her future sister-in-law, Duchess Kate, along with a note asking her to be her maid of honour.
The publication Woman’s Day claim Ms Markle sent Kate a gift package containing a rose gold diamond bracelet worth around £1,471 ($2,000).
This may well have brightened Duchess Kate’s mood as she has been suffering from severe morning sickness.
Kate is reported to have originally disapproved of Harry’s romance with Meghan, but the pair are said to get along well.
Ms Markle is believed to have reached out to the Duchess of Cambridge due to Prince Harry and Prince William’s close relationship.
Since Prince William married Kate in 2011, Harry has been a regular visitor to the couple’s household.
He often drops in for chats and family meals, it has been reported.
Speaking of the close relationship he has with the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry has said: “I’ve got to know Catherine pretty well. To have a big sister is very, very nice.”
Ms Markle earlier this month revealed how her life was turned upside down after news of her relationship with Harry broke.

She revealed the pair met through friends in London and dated secretly for months.
The loved-up pair will appear together for the first time later this month in the Invictus Games.
Fifth in line to the throne, Prince Harry will give speeches at both the opening and closing ceremonies, watch a host of sports events and carry out a number of extra engagements including visiting a mental health and addiction teaching hospital.
