Celine Dion release new album in honour of her late husband

Celine Dion knew that even after the tragic death of her beloved husband, Rene Angelil, that ‘The Show Must Go On.’ She released her powerful version of the Queen anthem on May 20.
Freddie Mercury may be looking down with pride and a huge smile on his face thanks to Celine Dion, 48. Celine must have been inspired by Freddie and his band, as she recorded a cover of Queen’s epic, “The Show Must Go On,” her first new music following the death of her husband, Rene Angelil.
Celine dropped her version of the song on May 20, showing off her powerful voice and trademark style. Classic violinist Lindsey Stirling joined her to give the song the emotional strength it deserves. After all, the 1991 original was recorded when Freddie was dying from complications with HIV/AIDS, similar to how Rene passed way from a long and painful battle with cancer.

As Rene was both Celine’s soulmate and former manager, the song clearly has a deeper meaning. Even though Rene’s no longer by her side, Celine knows that the show must indeed go on.
Even as he was dying, Rene was concerned about his wife’s career. When recalling their final conversation together, Celine said she told her husband to focus on himself. “You were worrying for my career,” she told Rene. You were worrying for the children. You were worrying for everything. It’s enough.”

Ultimately, Celine told her beloved, “I promise you we’re gonna be OK. Please leave in peace. I don’t want you to worry.”

There’s a famous rock and roll legend associated with “The Show Must Go On.” Queen guitarist Brian May, 68, recalls that Freddie could hardly stand when the band first recorded the song. “I said, ‘Fred, I don’t know if this is going to be possible to sing,'” Brian told Rolling Stone. “And he went, ‘I’ll fucking do it, darling’ — vodka down — and went in and killed it, completely lacerated that vocal.”

Celine will perform this track live for all her fans on 22nd of May at the 2016 Billboard Music Award. She will also accept the Icon Award and after her distinguished and legendary career, she certainly deserves it!
